Cuba is set to host the Cuba Energy Summit 2024 from 4th to 6th December in Havana, a landmark event designed to connect energy investors with key stakeholders in the region. Organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Cuba and CUPET, this summit is set to showcase the immense potential of the Cuban energy landscape, providing a unique platform for dialogue and collaboration.

Event Overview

The summit will unfold over three dynamic days:

  • Day 1: Kicking off with hands-on workshops, attendees will gain crucial insights into the nuances of the Cuban energy market, setting the stage for the discussions to come.
  • Days 2 and 3: These days will be filled with expert-led sessions, focusing on a range of topics, including oil and gas production, renewable energy opportunities, regulatory frameworks, and international collaboration. Attendees can expect in-depth discussions on energy transition, gas-to-power generation, and enhancing refinery capacities.

Confirmed Speakers and Sponsors

The summit features an impressive roster of speakers, including HE Vicente de la O’Levy, Minister of the Ministry of Energy and Mines; Rosell Guerra Campaña, Director for Renewable Energy; Edrey Rocha González, General Director of CUPET; Andrew Purcell, Executive Chairman of Melbana Energy; and Lourdes Dávalos León, Managing Partner of Dávalos Abogados, among others.

Prominent sponsors such as Melbana Energy, Sonangol, Dávalos Abogados, Petro Australis Energy and BGP will support the event, alongside key collaborating organisations like Arpel, BIBA, Acera, El Puente a Cuba, and EnergieNet.

A Hub for Networking and Collaboration

With 150 participants expected, the Cuba Energy Summit will facilitate unparalleled networking opportunities. Attendees will engage in more than 20 hours of dedicated networking, including capacity-building workshops, a VIP icebreaker, and a gala dinner, fostering connections that can lead to strategic partnerships and investments in Cuba’s burgeoning energy sector.
