From January 16 to 18, 2026, Nicaragua participated for the first time in the international trade show Canada’s Bridal Show, held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Canada.
This participation represented a significant step in the country’s tourism promotion, as it joined one of the most relevant international events in terms of planning, organization, and specialized services for weddings, consolidating Nicaragua as an emerging destination for romance tourism.
During the three-day fair, the wide and diverse range of national tourism offerings was presented to visitors at the booth, positioning Nicaragua as a unique alternative for weddings and honeymoons. The presentation highlighted the combination of sun and beach destinations, rich cultural and historical heritage, colonial cities, natural landscapes, and authentic experiences, ideal for couples seeking novel and memorable settings for their wedding.
Among the destinations that generated the most interest were the Caribbean beaches of Corn Island, the Pacific coast beaches, the mountain hotels located in the northern part of the country, as well as the colonial cities of León and Granada, renowned for their architecture, history, and colonial charm.
Nicaragua’s participation in international fashion and lifestyle events, such as wedding fairs, is of particular importance for tourism, as these venues allow the country to be showcased as a comprehensive destination that blends romance, design, culture, and unique experiences.
