The Santo Domingo Hotel Association (AHSD) will host the fifth edition of SDQ MICE 2025, the Dominican Republic’s leading meeting, incentive, conference, and exhibition tourism event, from September 10-12 at the Crowne Plaza Santo Domingo, with complementary activities across the city. This year, AHSD partnered with the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) to enhance training, innovation, and international networking for the capital’s meetings industry.
The event features a robust program of international speakers and sessions, including courses on meetings management, destination marketing, artificial intelligence in events, and empathic leadership. In addition, the SDQ MICE Business Workshop will connect local suppliers—hotels, PCOs, inbound operators, and airlines—with international buyers in pre-arranged B2B meetings. Programs for Future Leaders and university students will also provide professional training and interaction with global experts.
Complementing the professional agenda, the event offers cultural experiences showcasing Santo Domingo’s heritage, cuisine, music, and crafts, including tours of the Colonial Zone and visits to major hotels. (https://dominicantoday.com/dr/tourism/2025/09/04/santo-domingo-prepares-for-sdq-mice-2025/)
