The Ministry of Tourism (Mitur) invites micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the tourism sector (Mipymes), from Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic to participate in the virtual sustainability workshop, which will seek to promote, raise awareness and train companies to apply sustainable practices in their businesses.
The workshop, in online mode of 1.5 hours, via the zoom platform, will be held on Tuesday, August 8 at 9:00 am in Costa Rica and 11:00 am in the Dominican Republic, from CAF (Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean).
The main objective is to promote environmental sustainability in the tourism sector, in addition, aspects of the environment that most affect the achievement of environmentally sustainable development objectives of the participating tourism companies will be defined.
At the same time, participants will be provided with knowledge and tools that improve sustainability in the different areas of their businesses, as well as including digitalization as an important axis in the workshop.
It will be carried out within the framework of the Digital Transformation Program for Mipymes in the tourism sector in Latin America and the Caribbean.
