As part of the celebration of the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer on 16 September, several facilities managed by Meliá Hotels International Cuba were accredited as Entities Free of Substances Depleting the Ozone Layer.
A communication from the company details that the Meliá Internacional Varadero, Meliá Varadero and Meliá Las Américas hotels received national recognition – granted by the Cuban Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, CITMA – the Meliá Internacional Varadero, Meliá Varadero and Meliá Las Américas hotels. Likewise, the CITMA territorial delegations awarded Meliá Buenavista, Meliá Cayo Santa María and Sol Cayo Santa María.
These new certifications are in addition to those already held by Paradisus Los Cayos, Meliá Las Dunas, Sol Río de Luna y Mares and Sol Varadero Beach.
Thus, hotels ensure that no substances that may affect the ozone layer appear in their processes, which is an important step in the corporate strategy for the protection of the environment. On the other hand, guests are offered a product committed to the care of the planet, which they greatly support and appreciate.
Meliá Hotels International Cuba confirms its willingness to continue working together with experts and authorities, in order to optimize the environmental footprint every day and, therefore, contribute to the conservation of a safe and healthy environment.
