The tourist resort of Varadero will be ready as of October 15 to receive international tourists and air operations that are requested to travel to that destination, the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba (Mintur) reported here.
According to this source, the initial stage foresees a partial opening in which clients will be able to enjoy accommodation in four and five-star hotels, engage in maritime excursions, nature tours and other activities, within an approved zone.
This phase includes extra-hotel activities associated with the Chapelin and Gaviota marinas, gastronomic, commercial and recreation services, as well as the dolphinarium, among others.
As hygiene measures to avoid the transmission of Covid-19, it was established in the protocols that all services will be paid by customers with the use of their credit cards to avoid the manipulation of cash.
Likewise, there will be a medical team in all the hotels of the resort who will accompany vacationers during their stay, and will carry out frequent health investigations, the Mintur said in a statement.
The Juan Gualberto Gómez international airport, in that resort, is ready to resume all its operations and biosecurity protocols are in place to receive visitors, Mintur reported. (https://www.plenglish.com/index.php?o=rn&id=60418&SEO=cubas-varadero-resort-reopens-to-international-tourism)
