The last two disciplines, according to the press release, Cuba will compete in the novel “digital” method, which combines the physical environment with the virtual one, and in which the sum of the results in each one defines the final position. For this multi-sport event “around 5,000 participants from over 90 countries are expected to attend, including BRICS member States, and other invited nations”. A total of 27 sports will be competed in. In addition to those mentioned, there will be athletics, swimming, diving, artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, canoeing, rowing, judo, fencing, tennis, weightlifting, badminton and wrestling.
