First US Statue of Usain Bolt Unveiled. Jamaica’s triple Olympian and world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt, is now forever immortalized in the United States and specifically in the vibrant, Jamaican-populated city of Miramar, Fl. Bolt was on hand Saturday to unveil the bronze statue that was created by acclaimed Jamaican artist and sculptor Basil Barrington Watson. The celebrated athlete graced the Ansin Sports Complex in Miramar for the unveiling and then warmly interacted with fans. “This statue marks only the beginning, as countless art pieces will grace our city, adorning our parks and other spaces for the entire community’s delight,” stated Miramar Vice Mayor Alexandra P. Davis.” Entitled “Anything is Possible, No Limits,” the statue according to Davis serves as a constant reminder to all who behold it.
