Around 3,045 irregular migrants have been deported to Cuba from several regional nations in 2023, as informed by Cuba´s Interior Ministry (MININT).

According to MININT, the U.S. Coast Guard conducted on Tuesday the 32nd operation after returning 47 Cuban boat lifters, including 36 men, seven women and four girls. Most of them from Matanzas and Villa Clara provinces, who have been previously intercepted by U.S. Coast Guard.

Three of the illegal migrants were on probation for criminal sanctions when trying to leave the country. (PL)
