Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez said on Friday that he thanked representatives of the US agricultural sector for their contribution in overcoming obstacles in bilateral relations.
On his Twitter profile, the head of Cuban diplomacy confirmed to the participants of the 4th Cuban-American Agricultural Conference: his country’s interest and willingness to maintain and expand relations in this sphere.
During the event, which ended at the Grand Aston Hotel in this capital on Thursday, the US visitors advocated for the elimination of Washington’s blockade against Cuba and to establish normal trade relations, especially in this sector.
They also expressed their interest in building business projects and commercial relations between the economic actors of the Cuban agricultural food sector and US entrepreneurs.
US-Cuba Agricultural Coalition President Paul Johnson said at the opening session of the meeting that closer ties between US and Cuban citizens are the best hope for overcoming the political obstacles imposed by the White House. (PL)
