The Dominican Republic will host tomorrow the 11th Ibero-American Parliamentary Forum 2022, in which presidents of parliaments and delegations representing the 22 member countries of the Ibero-American Conference will participate.
The event is part of the calendar of activities organized by the country in its capacity as Pro Tempore Secretariat of the Ibero-American Conference and was organized by the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, with the support of the Ibero-American General Secretariat and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the organizers, the Forum has the goal of analyzing and seeking solutions on issues of food and citizen security.
It will also address post-pandemic and catastrophic restructuring and recovery, institutional transparency and the proximity of parliaments to citizens.
An extensive agenda will be developed during the meeting, including special plenary sessions headed by the presidents of the Senate of this country, Eduardo Estrella, and the Chamber of Deputies, Alfredo Pacheco.
There will also be meetings, debates, and other parliamentary activities, the conclusions of which will be presented at the closure of the event.
The results of the Forum will be transmitted to the 28th Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government to be held in the Dominican Republic in March 2023. (PL)
