The government of Nicaragua will show its educational advances as part of a meeting with the Secretary General of the Educational Cooperation Organization (ECO), Sheikh Manssour Bin Mussallam, who is visiting the country.
The day before, the Minister of Education, Lilliam Herrera, made reference to the need of collaborating with the ECO and thanked Bin Mussallam´s presence here.
“Our biggest interest is to strengthen cooperation ties”, the minister explained to media outlets at the Augusto César Sandino International Airport in this capital.
For his part, Bin Mussallam showed satisfaction for his visit in this country, since Nicaragua was the first State to ratify the political instrument of the ECO.
He added that the ECO is a common space to achieve the construction of an inclusive and balanced education.
Mussallam´s visit will last until March 24 and will include an extensive program of activities, including a meeting with Nicaraguan Foreign Minister, Denis Moncada, today.
The visitor is also expected to hold a meeting with the leader of the Sandinista National Liberation Front and President of the Republic, Daniel Ortega.
ECO was formed on January 29, 2020 by countries from Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia,the Middle East and the Pacific Islands at the International Summit on Balanced and Inclusive Education held in Djibouti.
