El Salvador has reported an increase in Covid-19-related deaths in the last few weeks, as 36 deaths were reported in November, authorities said on Friday.
Sources from the Ministry of Health (MINSAL) reported 36 deaths, 18 of which occurred in the last week of November, when the sixth wave hit the population, especially the elderly, hard.
According to statistics, November was the fifth deadliest month due to the pandemic, surpassing August, when 25 deaths were reported.
February was the deadliest month this year when patients died every day due to the pandemic after 166 deaths were reported, followed by January with 84, July with 51, and March with 45 deaths.
