The Third Round of Talks on Migration Issues between Cuba and Belize concluded in this capital, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported here today.
The meeting was chaired by the General Director of Consular Affairs and Attention to Cubans Resident Abroad, Ernesto Soberón, and the General Director of Immigration of the Belizean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Immigration, Gilroy Middleton.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the parties stressed the importance of these meetings and reaffirmed the will to strengthen operational and comprehensive mechanisms for collaboration in the migratory, consular and confrontation with international phenomena associated with irregular migration.
Likewise, they analyzed the state of the migratory flow and evaluated the execution of joint actions with the purpose of discouraging the illicit acts associated with this irregular activity and guaranteeing a safe, regular and orderly migration.
