The United States of America will set aside 6000 seasonal guest worker visas for residents of Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, US officials say.
The decision was made amidst the increasing number of migrants arriving daily at the US border.
In addition, 22,000 H-B2 visas will be made available to employers in this fiscal year.
The US administration is grappling with the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the increase in migrant families and unaccompanied minors arriving at its border with Mexico.
