Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez on Saturday highlighted the Cuban people´s support for the revolutionary process and sovereignty amid attempts to subvert the country.
On Twitter, the Cuban foreign minister posted that ‘those questioning the loyalty and support of millions of Cubans to their Revolution really ignore the traditional struggle and victory of an entire people.’
On Saturday, Havanians will call for the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States for nearly 60 years, the one regarded as major drawback to Cuba´s economic development.
At the Havana´s Malecón, demonstrators will take to the streets in the early hours so as to call for the end of attempts to subvert the country.
The central event, called exceptionally amid present epidemiological circumstances by Covid-19, takes into account the request of broad sectors of Cuban society who long for expressing their condemnation of Jul. 11 riots rolled out nationwide.
Such a hostile incidents, financed and encouraged from abroad, caused human and material damage and sought to harm Cuba people´s peace.
