The 15th Havana Biennial kicks off on Friday, consolidating itself as the largest visual arts event in Cuba, transforming scenarios and the city with works by national and foreign artists.  The day began with an academic meeting to present the bulletins and newsletters that followed the event over the last four months. Also presenting are a teaser of this edition’s documentary, a catalog preview, and an announcement of the leading ideas for the next Biennial, to be held in 2027. Organizers announced that the public could attend meetings and exchanges at the Wilfredo Lam Contemporary Art Center. An invitation to celebrate art and being together is the intention of this festival, involving 172 Cuban and 230 foreign artists since November and under the premise of Shared Horizons.
