Singer-songwriter Silvio Rodriguez will bid farewel to the audience in Cali, a city in Colombia known as the “Branch of Heaven,” after a tour that took him to stages in five Latin American countries. The performance by the representative of the Cuban nueva trova movement in the capital of the department of Valle del Cauca will take place at Arena Canaveralejo, which has a capacity of over 15,000 people. His previous Colombian concert took place in the city of Medellin, at Polideportivo de Envigado Stadium, which was packed to capacity. There, he captivated the audience, as he had 15 years earlier in that same city, with iconic compositions such as “Cancion del elegido” (Song of the Chosen One), and “Unicornio.” He also incorporated other iconic songs by his compatriots, such as “Te perdono” (I Forgive You) by Noel Nicola, and “Yolanda” by Pablo Milanes.
