International Book Fair 2024 set for November. The Ministry of Culture has announced the dates for the XXVI Santo Domingo International Book Fair (FILSD 2024), scheduled to take place from November 7 to 17 this year at the Plaza de la Cultura Juan Pablo Duarte. According to the MINC, details regarding the writer to whom the fair will be dedicated and the guest country will be revealed in the coming weeks. The Ministry is already working to build upon the success of the 2023 edition, which saw the introduction of new organizational changes. Minister of Culture, Milagros Germán, expressed the institution’s commitment to providing an unforgettable experience for all participants, describing the fair as “a fundamental pillar in the promotion of culture and education in our nation.” “The 2024 International Book Fair will serve as a gateway to the future of literature. With the integration of innovative technologies and the inclusion of emerging voices, this edition aims to redefine the reading experience and cultural exchange,” stated Germán. “It will undoubtedly provide a significant boost to reading and support for authors and the publishing industry.” Germán further added, “We are thrilled to offer a dynamic platform that will facilitate connections between authors and readers worldwide, fostering dialogue and creativity within the global literary community.”
