Humidor auction in Cuba, money for health. The traditional humidor auction as part of the 24th edition of the Habano Festival raised a record number of 17.8 million Euros to be donated to the Cuban Public Health System. The auction took place last night at the Pabexpo fairgrounds in Havana during the gala dinner that closed the Festival and was attended by Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and Prime Minister Manuel Marrero. Considered one of the most important moments of each Festival, the auction was organized by the Habanos S.A. Corporation and is a show of generosity and humanity of those in love with the best tobacco in the world, the Habano. This year’s auctioned humidors are a tribute to the world’s most renowned cigar brands, as well as to those that are celebrating their anniversaries, as is the case of Trinidad, which is celebrating its 55th anniversary.
