Spain’s Cultural Week in Cuba opens its doors on Wednesday until October 12 to this capital’s audience, who will enjoy a broad program with the most varied cultural events. Spanish Ambassador in Cuba Angel Martin Peccis told reporters recently, after highlighting the special historical ties with Cuba, that the event was conceived around Spain’s National Day, on October 12, and is dedicated to the Cuban people, the societies and entrepreneurs of both countries, and the Spanish Cubans. The diplomat stated that the program includes high-quality proposals, including cinema, music, literature, dance, visual arts, theater, and gastronomy, which also links the two nations. Among those events are: the Spanish Film Showcase at “23 y 12” and “Acapulco” movie theaters for five days, representing different styles and trends of contemporary Iberian cinema.
