Laura Pausini Named 2023 Person of the Year by the Latin Recording Academy. Italian singer Laura Pausini will be the 2023 Person of the Year by decision of the Latin Recording Academy. A Latin Grammy and Grammy winner, Pausini will be recognized for her career as a multifaceted artist, as well as for her social commitment. “I am extremely honored to receive this recognition. Being named Person of the Year when I’m celebrating 30 years of career is something I can’t describe yet. I can only feel a deep gratitude for La Academia and for my beloved audience, which has taken me to places that I never dreamed in life would arrive, “said the singer, after affirming that the Spanish language has opened the doors to her from a very young age, and has inspired her to move forward and live music without limits. Pausini will be honored at a special gala that will include versions of her repertoire performed by a group of artists and friends. The event will be held in November during Latin Grammy Week 2023 in Seville, Spain.
