International Caribbean Festival in Santiago de Cuba. The International Caribbean Festival will begin here, after its inauguration during the afternoon at the Heredia Theater. A show that will present a panorama of these popular traditions of the Mexican and Cuban cultures, will take place in the Santiago theater, where representatives of about 400 participants from some 20 countries will meet in this 42nd edition of the Fiesta del Fuego. With the largest delegation of Mexicans, the festivity will also have significant presences from Martinique, Trinidad and Tobago, the United States, Spain, Germany, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Honduras and Bolivia, among other countries. According to the Sierra Maestra newspaper, the Casa del Caribe International Award will go to those who work in the national health system, as a way of recognizing their contributions to Covid-19.
