Casa de las Americas promotes forum on Caribbean cultural diversity. The presentation proposals for the 9th International Colloquium on Cultural Diversity in the Caribbean will be accepted until March 15, the Havana-based Casa de las Americas informed. The event will be held in this capital from May 15 to 19 under the theme “Landscapes, rights of nature and ecopoetic in the Caribbean,” according to an institutional tweet, and will promote analyses of political agendas for the safeguarding and protection of natural landscapes, immovable and environmental heritage. The call noted that the forum also proposes to reflect on the paths of a regional ecological thought as a process inherent to culture, which allows revisiting past trajectories and founding new itineraries towards emancipatory paradigms. The program consists of lectures, panels, round tables, book launches, concerts and exhibitions.
