Several films from Mexico, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Brazil will compete in the new work in progress section of the 68th San Sebastian Film Festival, according to organizers. The films: Boreal by Federico Adorno (Paraguay-Mexico); Piedra Noche by Ivan Fund (Argentina (Chile), and La Roya by Juan Sebastian Mesa (Colombia-France), will opt for WIP Latam and Egeda Platino industry awards. There are other films which also have the opportunity to compete such as El Empleado y el Jefe by Manuel Nieto (Uruguay-Argentina-Brazil-France); Los Restos Fosiles by Jeronimo Quevedo (Argentina); and Jesus Lopez by Maximiliano Schonfeld (Argentina-France), which were selected from a total of 229 films. The Festival will be held from September 22 to 24, combine the online and face-to-face format, and will also guarantee post-production assistance, English subtitles and distribution in Spain for the winning films.
