India And Cuba Assess Collaboration In 5G and 6G Technologies

Representatives of India and Cuba assessed bilateral cooperation assessed bilateral cooperation in training for the deployment of infrastructure in rural areas, as well as science and innovation projects to develop 5G and 6G technologies.

These issues will be included in the collaboration agreement that both countries plan to sign, Reyes told Prensa Latina.

This week, India and Cuba agreed to collaborate on digital transformation after a meeting between the Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Alkesh Kumar Sharma, and Cuban Deputy Minister Grisel Reyes.

The Cuban official told Prensa Latina that the representatives of both nations identified important opportunities to collaborate.

Reyes pointed out that the parties seek to share opensource platforms to implement government services, training projects and education in emerging technologies, as well as the creation of a high-performance computing center, among other initiatives.

The Cuban delegation met with the board of directors of the National Association of Software and Services Companies of India.

At a forum in New Delhi, sponsored by the Economic Trade Organization of India at the headquarters of the Federation of Exporters of India, the Cuban deputy minister highlighted the possibilities of joint work between companies from the two nations in order to enter the market of technology in Latin America.
