As part of the actions of the government of President Nayib Bukele to attract new foreign investments in the country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through economic diplomacy, recently held a forum called «El Salvador, a country of opportunities» in the city of Markham, Toronto, Canada.
The Foreign Ministry reported that this activity was carried out with the aim of presenting the investment opportunities offered by El Salvador and was chaired by the Salvadoran ambassador to Canada, Ricardo Cisneros, who made a presentation on the exportable supply in the food and beverage sector. beverages and investment opportunities in the country. Entrepreneurs from the Xinflix Entrepreneur Club, a conglomerate of Asian origin, participated in the activity.
Likewise, the diplomat emphasized that the sectors that also offer investment opportunities are infrastructure, tourism, and technology. «The government of President Bukele is providing our population with tools to attract investors in this sector of the economy,» he said.
For her part, the consul general in Toronto, Hazel Hernández, spoke about the Labor Mobility Program, whose purpose is to promote the inclusion of Salvadorans through orderly, regular, and safe migration to countries where job opportunities are identified.
On the other hand, the director of investments of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador (Proesa), Javier Galdámez, and the food and beverage export specialist, Zayda Berciano, also participated in the event. In addition, around 51 Canadian businessmen attended.
The Foreign Ministry reported that El Salvador promotes investment opportunities with entrepreneurs in order to generate more sources of employment and increase the national economy.
