The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) has strengthened Nicaragua’s healthcare infrastructure, as proved by its funding of the construction of a hospital of more than 200 beds in the city of Bilwi (north).
For the execution of the project to replace the Nuevo Amanecer Regional Hospital, in the capital city of the Autonomous Region of North Caribbean, the regional financial institution granted a credit of nearly 53 million dollars, the website of La Primerisima reported.
The hospital will benefit a population of 50,000 people, including indigenous communities, afro-descendants and mestizos.
When commenting on strengthening the infrastructure of the health services network in the region, CABEI President Dante Mossi pointed out that the financial institution will continue to support the Central American population in the development of initiatives to improve the healthcare system.
