Cuba willing to share knowledge on health with Türkiye

The Cuban government today ratified its willingness to share the knowledge and progress achieved in the health sector with Türkiye.

During a meeting with businessmen from Türkiye, convened by the Council for Foreign Economic Relations of this country, the Minister of Public Health of Cuba, José Ángel Portal, explained the multiple elements that distinguish the National Health System and the existing potential to carry out various mutually beneficial projects.

Portal made reference to the advances of Cuban science that, in close connection with the health services, allowed the introduction of new technologies developed by national scientists for the diagnosis and treatment of different diseases, including various types of cancer.

Also possible the transfer of technology, the development of joint research, the realization of triangular projects, as well as academic and scientific exchanges.

The headline detailed aspects of Cuban medical collaboration around the world, which is an element that distinguishes the largest of the Antilles.

The businessmen recognized the work carried out by the 32 employees of the “Henry Reeve” Brigade, who came to this country to help the Turkish people after the devastating earthquake that occurred here a few months ago.
