Air Europa began 2025 presenting record figures in its long-haul operation, especially in the Americas, and increasing frequencies to key destinations and strategic routes, which goes hand in hand with the growth of its fleet
The company will take delivery of three new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft throughout the year, increasing seat availability and allowing it to expand its operations sustainably.
In this sense, starting in June, it will add a daily frequency to flights to Medellín, Panama and Asunción, providing more frequent operations between the destinations and Madrid. The popular routes to Cancun and Punta Cana will also have a higher frequency, with five weekly flights, while the connections between Madrid, Córdoba and Salvador de Bahia will have four weekly flights.
Another major milestone is the transformation of the connection between New York and Madrid into a daily service, in addition to the launch of direct flights from Quito and Guayaquil to Europe, with three weekly flights planned for each Ecuadorian city.
Air Europa will also announce a new route between Madrid and Istanbul, scheduled for May 12, which will expand the connection options for travelers from the American continent to one of the most strategic destinations in the Middle East for tourism and business.
In 2024, the airline carried more than 3.1 million passengers, achieving an occupancy rate of around 91%. This growth represents an increase of 8% compared to the previous year and 26% compared to 2019.
The company’s global revenues also reached new highs, exceeding €2.9 billion and consolidating its position as the company’s best financial result to date.
In total, more than 12 million passengers were transported throughout the year. By 2025, projections indicate that the company should continue this positive trajectory, with seat supply in the long-haul segment estimated at more than 3.5 million, with a forecast of more than 3.3 million passengers.
