The Mexican airline Magnicharters inaugurated this Wednesday the Monterey-Havana-Jardines del Rey air route. Travel agents and tour operators were the first travelers.

According to report the Cuban News Agency (ACN), Viajes Cubanacán will be the main receptive for vacationers and will work together with the Mexican tour operator Viajes Bojórquez, accompanied by Enjoy Travel Group and Skedio.

The Magnicharters flights, with two weekly frequencies -Wednesdays and Saturdays-, will enhance the segmentation of the issuing markets to the country and to the sun and beach destination of Avila, in addition to promoting a direct connection between Jardines del Rey and the Cuban capital, points out the fountain.

The first travelers, a “familiarization group”, will develop a four-day program to learn about the hotel and non-hotel products of the destination made up of the Coco, Guillermo, Paredón Grande and Antón Chico keys.

Cristina Pérez, a salesperson for the Enjoy Travel Group Agency, highlighted the importance of the connection, with a round trip on the same day, to promote the promotion of the destination located in the north of Ciego de Ávila.

Mario Antonio Hernández Rivero, director of the Cayo Coco Airport Base Business Unit, also reported that with these two new operations, those received by the enclave weekly rise to 49, mostly from Canada and Russia.

Jardines del Rey currently has 26 hotels, four- and five-star categories, located on the beachfront, with more than 10,000 rooms. It offers non-hotel offers linked to the natural environment, suitable for hiking, nature tourism and water sports, he points out. (ACN)
