JetBlue announced two new routes from Puerto Rico, launching this summer.

The airline will offer year-round service between Luis Munoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina, as well as between Rafael Hernandez International Airport in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, and Tampa International Airport in Florida.

The new San Juan-to-Raleigh and Aguadilla-to-Tampa services are scheduled to debut on July 5, with both routes using the Airbus A320 aircraft. In total, JetBlue will offer an average of 30 departures per day from San Juan and fly up to five daily departures from Aguadilla in 2023.

“As the largest airline in Puerto Rico, we are thrilled to continue diversifying our network and to further grow JetBlue’s presence on the island with the addition of these two new routes,” JetBlue CEO Robin Hayes said.

“This growth will increase competition and choice for customers traveling to and from Puerto Rico and for travelers in Raleigh and Tampa, while also building on our commitment to support tourism on the island and connect family and friends,” Hayes continued.

JetBlue operates an average of 35 departures from Puerto Rico per day, including flights to San Juan, Aguadilla and Ponce. With the introduction of Raleigh, JetBlue will offer service between Puerto Rico and 12 cities in the United States and the Caribbean.

“We’re excited about the news of additional JetBlue direct flights between Puerto Rico and the US mainland,” Puerto Rico governor Pedro Pierluisi said. “These two new flights will help us to continue on the path of growth in our tourism sector. We look forward to building on JetBlue’s success in Puerto Rico.” (https://www.travelpulse.com/News/Airlines-Airports/JetBlue-Unveils-Two-New-Routes-to-Puerto-Rico)
