Arajet, a Dominican airline, has announced the launch of its new Santo Domingo (SDQ) – São Paulo (GRU) route, opening up a new chapter of connectivity between the Dominican Republic and Brazil. The airline is offering an introductory rate of only US$166 per segment (including taxes and fees) for bookings made until June 3 at www.arajet.com. The travel period for the discounted rate is from September 21, 2023, to March 31, 2024.

The Santo Domingo – São Paulo route will commence operations on Thursday, September 21, with three weekly frequencies on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Departures from Santo Domingo will be at 7:20 p.m., arriving in São Paulo at 3:35 a.m. Return flights will depart from São Paulo at 5:45 a.m. and arrive in Santo Domingo at 11:50 a.m. The non-stop flight will have an approximate duration of 7 hours and 15 minutes.

Víctor Pacheco Méndez, CEO and founder of Arajet expressed his excitement about the new route, stating that it represents a significant milestone for Arajet and Dominican aviation as a whole. He emphasized that the direct and non-stop connection between Santo Domingo and São Paulo will allow all Dominicans to explore the vibrant city of São Paulo and experience the wonders of the South American giant.

Mónika Infante, CEO of Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerodom), expressed her enthusiasm for Arajet’s expanding network of destinations from Santo Domingo. She highlighted the convenience of the new direct flight to São Paulo, which will attract more tourists to the Dominican Republic while providing opportunities for Dominicans to discover the beauty of São Paulo at attractive rates offered by Arajet. Infante assured passengers that Aerodom will continue to provide the best airport experience for travelers arriving and departing from the country.
