Arajet has launched its first route between Mexico City and Medellín with a stopover in Santo Domingo, and to celebrate this new service, the airline announced flights at only $5 each way plus taxes for flights to Mexico City and Cancun or vice versa.

During the Tianguis Turístico 2023, Víctor Pacheco Méndez, CEO and founder of Arajet, declared that the airline is writing a new chapter in Dominican aviation, which will establish the country as the low-price hub of the Americas. He also announced a fifth frequency to Mexico City on Saturdays from the Las Américas International Airport (AILA) to the Felipe Ángeles Airport (NLU), which will be available from May 6, adding to the airline’s existing offer on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Pacheco stated that “since last Friday, March 24, our passengers can fly from Mexico City to Medellín, using Las Américas International Airport in Santo Domingo as a connection point, without going through immigration or looking for luggage. With this connection, we begin a new era in our low-price hub in the Dominican Republic.”

In addition, he pointed out that “Mexico is the second commercial partner for the Dominican Republic, and Arajet has managed to crystallize through our routes from Santo Domingo and with connections, a common interest in strengthening economic, tourist, and commercial exchange.” (https://dominicantoday.com/dr/world/2023/03/29/arajet-inaugurates-its-first-connection-between-mexico-city-and-medellin/)
