Air Europa and VIVA have signed an interline agreement, whereby Globalia’s airline strengthens its presence in Colombia and Peru by offering more travel options and expanding the route offering to its customers.

From the beginning of August, passengers of the Spanish airline will be able to connect from Bogota (BOG) and/or Medellin (MDE) to 18 Colombian cities where the Colombian low-cost carrier operates, including: Cali (CLO), Pereira (PEI), Monteria (MTR), Riohacha (RCH), Cucuta (CUC), Bucaramanga (BGA), along with beach destinations such as Cartagena (CTG), Santa Marta (SMR) and San Andres (ADZ).

In addition, Air Europa will offer flights from Lima (LIM) to Cusco (CUZ), a domestic destination offered by VIVA in Peru. The agreement between both airlines allows the customer to have a single ticket at the time of travel.

«The agreement we have reached with Viva Air completes our presence in Colombia and Peru and allows us to make more than 18 new cities available to our customers. This broad domestic network of new destinations consolidates our brand and position and opens up new international opportunities. With Viva Air we facilitate a better service and reiterate our commitment to both strategic markets for our airline, » said Estelle Leray, Air Europa’s Director of Alliances and Customer Experience.

«Achieving this agreement with Air Europa will allow travelers to have more options to complete their itineraries, connecting with the route network we operate from Viva Air, where thanks to our HUB Medellin, hub, we fly to 43 domestic routes in Colombia and Peru through the ‘Ultra Low Cost’ model, with which we know that the real value for the traveler is to get where they want to go, on time, without surprises and paying only for what they need,» said Carlos Orellana, Viva Air’s alliances manager.

VIVA is the leading low-cost operator in Colombia, it also has a fleet of 23 Airbus A320 aircraft (NEO and CEO) and a network of 23 domestic and international destinations, the company continues with its expansion plans and is committed to offering greater connectivity.

Air Europa’s schedule in Colombia and Peru
