Playa Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Marriott International to expand The Luxury Collection brand in the Mexican Caribbean with the addition of Paraiso de la Bonita, a Luxury Collection Adult All-Inclusive Resort, Riviera Maya.

Boasting 100 oversized and stylish oceanfront suites, the resort is slated to open in late 2024 on 14 acres of lush natural landscape in Puerto Morelos just 20 minutes from Cancun International Airport.

Amenities will include an expansive 22,000-square-foot spa and locally inspired dining experiences at three restaurants featuring highlights such as a 5,000-bottle cellar and a sushi and ceviche bar.

A separate building within the property will act as a “resort within the resort” with 10 suites equipped with private plunge pools and beach access, an intimate exclusive pool and two dedicated restaurants with a private chef.

“Paraiso de la Bonita, a Luxury Collection Adult All-Inclusive Resort, Riviera Maya is the result of Playa’s strategic initiative to offer our customers differentiated concepts in the all-inclusive segment. We are excited to continue expanding our managed portfolio alongside Marriott International. The demand for luxury all-inclusive products has been growing significantly, and we are proud to lead this transformation,” Fernando Mulet, Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer for Playa Hotels & Resorts, said in a statement.

“We are delighted to expand the footprint of The Luxury Collection in Mexico and can’t think of a better company to do so than Playa Hotels & Resorts,” added Laurent de Kousemaeker, Chief Development Officer for Marriott International in the Caribbean and Latin America.

“Paraiso de la Bonita will continue to deliver on The Luxury Collection promise of providing access to the most fascinating and sought-after locations on earth, while offering unparalleled amenities and service that discerning global explorers have come to expect from the brand.” (https://www.travelpulse.com/news/hotels-and-resorts/playa-hotels-and-resorts-marriott-international-reveal-plans-for-paraiso-de-la-bonita-a-luxury-collection-adult-all-inclusive-resort-riviera-maya)
