Cuba. This Thursday, June 29, the inaugural flight Barcelona – Havana arrived in the Cuban capital, organized by the vertical wholesale tour operator Enjoy Travel Group, opening a new possibility for the development of tourism in Cuba and positioning this company as one of the most active in the commercialization of tourist options to the largest of the Antilles.

In order to know details about this new opening, Periódico Digital Centroamericano y del Caribe contacted Mr. Luis Jiménez, commercial vice president of Enjoy Travel Group, who graciously offered his impressions.

The executive explained that this inaugural trip was attended by four Fam groups (Nero Group of Spain, Team Group of Catalonia, an Accessible Tourism group and another of Italian Travel Agencies) that together group about 50 travel agencies. During the week they will be in Cuba, they will complete a tight plan of activities in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism, and the hotel chains Meliá International, Iberostar, Kempinski, Aston and Blue Diamond, who have provided full support to the development of this program.

This new route will have a weekly frequency, and will run until the last week of October, is a codeshare flight with Cubana de Aviación, on Plus Ultra aircraft, A340 with 275 seats, of them 30 Business, 24 Premium and 221 in tourist class.

The commercial vice president of Enjoy Travel Group said that among the personalities who traveled is Mr. Diego González, who is the president of the Ibero-American Network of Accessible Tourism, which for years has been advising the agency in the application of exclusive packages for this segment. Currently Enjoy Travel Group is one of the best qualified wholesale operators to work with this market segment, recognizing that Cuba has all the conditions for the development of accessible tourism, occupying a privileged position in the region.

Regarding multi-destination, a very popular tourist modality in our region, Mr. Jiménez explained that there are currently 15 flights linking Mexico with Cuba, 9 from the Dominican Republic and one from Barcelona, which allow great connectivity. In Cuba they have an office that gives the possibility of preparing programs tailored to visitors, with circuits combined with the Keys, Varadero, Ecotourism, and the East. A segment that is interesting is that of Weddings and Honeymoons, which from Spain can combine with two countries and thus experience new markets.

Among the future projections, the director of Enjoy Travel Group said that it is intended to open a Hub in Cancun that connects South America with Havana, taking advantage of the offices they have in South American countries and the frequencies of flights that exist from Cancun to Havana, at very affordable prices.

In the coming days, a group of the 25 most important influencers in Spain who have some 130 million followers and who will visit tourist places of interest will travel to Cuba with Enjoy Travel Group. They will make three transmissions a day where they will cover different topics related to tourism, culture and social life of the country.

Enjoy Travel Group is a receptive vertical wholesale operator that was created more than 20 years ago, has highly qualified personnel and under the slogan #viajarnosune provide the customer with a personalized treatment, with customized programs, capable of pleasing the most demanding customer. The headquarters are located in Barcelona, and has offices in Havana, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Mexico, the latter with representations in several cities, constituting a very positive market in the issuance of tourism to Cuba.

It has signed important agreements with companies such as Avoris, Club 5 Estrellas, Viajes El Corte Inglés and TUI, among others, and continues its expansion.
