Nearly 400 travel agencies will meet in Cuba from April 30 to May 7, in a macro convention organized by the DIT Gestión del País Vasco group.
This Spanish group, which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, stressed that being able to mobilize such a large number of agents is a new milestone in its trajectory. According to Prensa Latina, DIT Gestión indicated that this macro convention began to take shape since the last international fair FITCuba 2022, in Varadero. The final signing of the agreement was attended by the Minister of Tourism of Cuba, Juan Carlos García Granda, and the vice-head of the branch, María del Carmen Orellana.
Several entities related to Cuban tourism – such as the Gaviota group, the Fly for Vacations agency, Valentin Hotels and the airline Iberojet – collaborated in the organization of this meeting, whose program includes the presence of agents at FITCuba 2023 (from May 2 to 5). The objective of the event on the Caribbean island is to know first-hand the Cuban market, both its cities and its keys, and its peculiar places.
The prestigious Valentin Perla Blanca hotel, located in Cayo Santa María, will host this great meeting. A workshop, along with gastronomic presentations, products and other services, is among the activities that will be developed.
Spain remains one of the main source markets for tourists to Cuba and expectations point to an improvement in this regard.
