Royalton Luxury Resorts plans to debut its first property in Grenada when the all-inclusive Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa opens on March 1 as a renovation and expansion of the Starfish Resort, formerly called the Grenadian by Rex Resorts.
The Royalton Grenada is both a new build and a renovation of the former Rex resort and will be managed by Blue Diamond Resorts, an affiliate of the Toronto-based Sun wing Travel Group.
Blue Diamond Resorts acquired Rex Resorts last December. The existing resorts were then rebranded under Starfish Resorts, Mystique Resorts and Royalton Resorts.
The former Starfish property closed in May to transition to the Royalton brand and will open on two beaches on Tamarind Bay with 269 suites as the largest resort on Grenada.
It also will be the first property within the Royalton portfolio to offer the new Maison restaurant, a waterfront, French bistro-style eatery and one of five a la carte restaurants at the resort.
Other facilities include three bars, a complimentary kids club, a spa and several pools. Fitness and wellness classes will be offered.
Guests have the option of upgrading to the Diamond Club premium service, which features butler service and access to reserved beach areas.
An introductory special features savings up to 50%, stay-free deals for two kids and up to $600 in resort credits, depending upon category of accommodations selected.
To receive the special rate, reservations must be booked by Sept. 30 for travel from March 1 to April 30.
Royalton Caribbean destinations include Antigua, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and St. Lucia as well as Cancun. (https://www.travelweekly.com/Caribbean-Travel/Royalton-Grenada-Resort-to-debut-in-March?ct=carib)
