Dominican Republic has confirmed its participation at the World Online Chess Tournament, in support of the ‘Stay at Home’ program to fight the Covid-19 pandemic. The Dominican Chess Federation announced its participation at this amazing online event that will be held on the world platform Lichess.org. As stated by Pedro Dominguez, president of the National Federation, Dominican chess players will be also present at the Chess Championship of Cuba, Panama, El Salvador, Trinidad and Tobago, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic. He also stated that participating in this world tournament ‘we keep active the promotion of our sport and foster our chess players to stay at home during the temporary program.’
