South Korea reaffirms to share 2030 Olympic Games with the DPRK. South Korean President Moon Jae-in has reaffirmed this Friday to co-host the 2032 Olympic Games along with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). During his opening speech at the National Sports Festival, South Korea´s largest sports competition, the president said that when inter-Korean talks stopped and relations were increasingly harder, sports events opened the door to meetings and dialogue between the two nations. He said that the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics helped resume peace efforts on the Korean peninsula. Therefore, he noted that being a possible host of the 2032 Olympic Games will open a co-prosperity era of the two Koreas, so he asked citizens and sports communities to support the efforts. In February, the two nations sent a joint offer to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to host the 2032 Olympic Games.
