Costa Rican authorities from the Ministry of Public Security seized over a ton of marijuana and packages of cocaine and arrested three people aboard a vessel intercepted in waters of the Pacific.
The National Coastguard Service reported the interception of the suspicious fast boat close to Drake Bay in the South Pacific of Costa Rica. Officers found 46 bags which after inspection by the Drug Control Police where confirmed to contain 2,076 packages of marijuana with an approximate weight of 500 grams each for a total 1,066 kilograms of marijuana and 28 packages of cocaine of one kilogram each.
Two of the crew members are Nicaraguan one of last names Taylor Gutierrez and 44 years of age and the other one Ruíz Moses, 24 years old; the third one is Costa Rican of last names Rodríguez Parra 34 years of age.
