Honduran coffee exports for the current 2024-2025 harvest generated $1.878 billion in revenue, according to Ihcafe data reported by various media outlets.
In its most recent report, the Honduran Coffee Institute (Ihcafe) highlighted that the value of coffee sales—between October 2024 and June 2025—showed an 85 percent increase, equal to $1.13 billion recorded in the 2023-2024 cycle, driven primarily by high international coffee prices, which continue to rise.
Exported volume also showed a 3.0 percent increase, reaching 5.27 million bags, compared to the 5.12 million reported in the previous year, Ihcafe emphasized.
Sales contracts total 5.95 million quintals, a 5.0 percent increase, what contrasts to 5.68 million agreed last season.
According to estimates by the Honduran Coffee Institute, this country, as the largest producer in Central America, expects to ship nearly seven million quintals in the current harvest.
Coffee contributes more than three percent to the global Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and nearly 30 percent of the agricultural GDP.
The coffee season in the Central American nation runs from October 1 to September 30 of the following year.
Among the main destinations for Honduran coffee are the United States, Germany, and Belgium, which together represent 58.9 percent of total exports. (https://www.plenglish.com/news/2025/07/01/honduras-coffee-sales-approach-1-9-billion/)
