The organizers of ExpoCaribe 2025 are working to create a top-notch international fair in terms of participation and results, which will strengthen Santiago de Cuba and the country’s Eastern region, focused on sustainable development goals.

Madelaine Cortes, Director of Foreign Trade and Investment in the province of Santiago de Cuba and president of the Organizing Committee, stated that to date, 35 countries from all continents have confirmed their participation, along with 1,800 exhibitors from some 300 companies, and more than 8,000 persons will flow through the exhibition areas every day.

She emphasized that Cuba will be represented by 235 state-owned companies and 51 private ones, with all the country’s provinces taking part, including Santiago de Cuba with all its municipalities. She specified that 340 entrepreneurs will seek opportunities in the “trade visitor” format.

Among the specific features of ExpoCaribe 2025, Cortes explained, are that 331 participation contracts have been established, 32 percent more than the previous edition; there will be more than 3,000 square meters of exhibition space, several embassies will have stands, and the “Made in Cuba” event will be held to promote products with export potential.

Mayra Perez, a delegate from the Santiago de Cuba Chamber of Commerce, said that her counterparts in Holguin-Las Tunas, with 35 companies, and Camaguey-Ciego de Avila, with 12, stand out among the national companies; while on the foreign side, the trade representatives from Trinidad and Tobago, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are prominent.

The director of the Heredia Cultural Center, now a fairgrounds venue, Omar Hernandez, explained that they have a committed workforce that holds the status of “National Vanguard,” and are supported by companies such as Copextel, Agro Forestal, the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets, Communal Services, Electricity, ETECSA, among others.

ExpoCaribe 2025 will feature numerous topics and events on the country’s Energy Matrix Change, Multi-destination Tourism, Medical Care, Food, Transportation, Artificial Intelligence, Networking between Cuban and foreign businesspersons, and the launch of new products and services.
