Havana Club Internacional S.A. (HCI) reported that Cuba’s Havana Club rum had won seven awards, including five gold medals and a Master medal, in competitions in 2024.
A press release from HCI said that the competitions in which the famous Cuban rum was awarded were the Spirits Business Luxury Spirits Awards and Drinks Business/Spirits Business Autumn Tasting.
The communiqué noted that at the The Spirits Business Luxury Spirits Awards 2024 competition, Havana Club Gran Reserva Añejo 15 Años and Havana Club Tributo 2023 rums won gold medals.
Meanwhile, at the Drinks Business/Spirits Business Fall 2024 Tasting competition, Havana Club Gran Reserva Añejo 15 Años won the master category; Havana Club Cuban Smoky, Havana Club Añejo 7 Años, and Havana Club Original Añejo 3 Años won the gold medals, while Havana Club Añejo Especial won the silver medal.
The text pointed out that in 2024, Havana Club won 50 awards, and since 1994 there have already been 510 prizes, being the most awarded Cuban rum brand, in which its portfolio of premium and super premium rums stands out.
The Havana Club International joint venture was created in 1993 by the Cuba Ron company and the French group Pernod Ricard, and currently exports its products to 125 countries, including France, Italy, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, Chile, Canada, Argentina and Mexico, among others.
