The Cuban Beekeeping Company (Apicuba) hopes to produce 10,000 tons of honey in 2019, a figure similar to that reached in the 1980s, asserted Felix Cordero, deputy director of the entity.
We now have the conditions created to reach that figure, which includes 180,000 beehives, 800 workers in the state system and 10,000 primary producers, the official explained, as reported on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture.
He highlighted the institution’s excellent work and the commitment of its workers’ collective, which has ensured the maintenance of high levels of quality and competitiveness.
Our goal is to diversify and expand our exportable offers, he concluded. (https://www.plenglish.com/index.php?o=rn&id=47513&SEO=cuba-hopes-to-produce-10000-tons-of-honey-in-2019)
