15 Melia Cuba Facilities Recognized for their Excellence

The 2019 Certificate of Excellence awarded by the famous travel website TripAdvisor was granted to fifteen accommodations managed by Melia Hotels International Cuba, was announced today.

According to a statement from the Spanish chain on the island, this endorsement is granted each year to facilities that consistently obtain positive feedback from the site users and pays tribute to the accommodations that prove the perfection of their customer services.

The hotels that deserved the distinction, also previously congratulated, were the Paradisus Rio de Oro, and the Melia Las Americas, Cohiba, Santiago de Cuba, Habana, Cayo Coco, Varadero, Buenavista and Sol Cayo Coco.

This year’s list also included Paradisus Los Cayos, Melia San Carlos, Sol Palmeras, Tryp Cayo Coco, Gran Hotel By Melia and La Union by Melia.

With more than 600 unbiased opinions from registered travelers, TripAdvisor is considered the largest travel website in the world, the statement said.

Tourism is one of the most dynamic sectors in Cuba and the authorities of the island expect to receive this year 5, 100 000 visitors, 350,000 more than the arrivals at the end of 2018.

During the first four months of this year, 1,928,478 travelers arrived for an increase of seven percent and, during the first week of May, the arrival of two million vacationers was notified.
