As of this January 4 the Havana Club Rum Museum will be reopening, under strict hygienic-sanitary measures, but with the guarantee of offering visitors an authentic experience hand-in-hand with the history and present of El Ron de Cuba.
Tasting of the pillars of the brand: Havana Club Añejo 3 Years, Havana Club 7 Years and Havana Club Selección de Maestros; cocktail-making workshops, tastings with high-end products, and pairings with Habanos are among the options to enjoy.
Regarding the provisions to guarantee the health of visitors and workers, Grethell Perdomo, head of the Commercial Department of the Havana Club Rum Museum, explained that the tour will be made every 10 minutes to avoid crowds, always with a local guide and a maximum of 10 people per group.
Visitors will have their temperature taken remotely and there will be hygiene stations with alcoholic solution for hand disinfection, she added.
Museum staff will wear face shields and masks, which must also be worn by visitors. In all areas there will be visible signs with the indications to be followed.
Likewise, surfaces such as the bar and the handrails of the stairs, among other common places, will be disinfected after each tour.
The measures comply with the requirements of national and international health and tourism organizations, and are based on the experiences of related centers.
The work team eagerly awaits the arrival of visitors to whom, in addition, they will offer a renovated facility because, during the months of pause, pending repairs were completed at the entrance, central patio, tour areas and the tasting bar.
Likewise, for those who still cannot reach Havana, the virtual tour of the museum is available at the following address https://virtualtour.havanaclubmuseum.com/, an interactive visit that invites you to freely browse the museum rooms with the help of a menu that indicates each of the spaces. It also has a selection of audiovisual materials that gives visitors the opportunity to delve into details of the production, history and cocktail proposals with Havana Club products.
