Venezuelan triple jump athlete Yulimar Rojas occupies first place in the ranking of the International Athletics Federation (IAAF), local media reported Thursday. With 27.00 points on her scoreboard, the Venezuelan triple jumper leads the list after the records obtained at the Indoor Meeting in Karlsruhe, Germany, when she finished second, followed by the first places she reached at the Madrid Athletics Meeting (14.92 meters) and the Circuit of Dusseldorf, Germany (14.46). Portuguese Patricia Mamona is placed in second place with 17.00 points, while Spanish Ana Peleteiro is in third place with 10.00 points, reports the Venezuelan News Agency. In this ranking, the positions in the IAAF world rankings are based on the points they obtain, determined by their performance and place, and the importance of the competition in which these results are achieved for the Federation’s global calendar.
