Central American Film Festival presents award-winning work in Panama. Roberto King, producer and director of the Foundation for the Performing and Audiovisual Arts (FAE), explained to Prensa Latina that the event will run until 9 November with simultaneous exhibitions in the provinces of Panama and the western provinces of Chiriqui and Bocas del Bul. At the opening of the Cinematographic Festival, he said, attendees will be able to enjoy award-winning works at the University of Panama’s 2021 regional event such as Rio Susio (Costa Rica), a fiction feature film by the director. In the venues set up for the event, audiences will be delighted by 26 films from nine countries, including “Cadejo Blanco”, a Guatemalan feature film directed by Justin Lerner and the winner of this type of Central American event last year. Programming will include Panamanian short and feature films, including “Three Days of Death” by Alejandra García; «Frutabomba», experimental by Eliana Araz; “How the River Sings”, a documentary by Mabel Guerra; «Fifty Fifty», conceived by Jaime Newball; “Vocation”, a documentary by Ebner Veltier, and “Dyblica”, a documentary by Melanie Mora.
